Missing teeth? How can I replace it?

Do you or someone you know have a missing tooth or teeth that you/they are conscious of?  There are many options available to replace missing teeth, each with advantages and disadvantages.  It is important to visit your dentist for a consultation to help decide an option that is best suited for you.

Generally, there are three options:

  1. Denture or “plates”– this is a removable appliance made to replace teeth and is the least expensive option
  2. Bridge – this is a fixed option (cannot be removed) where the gap is replaced with a false tooth connected on both sides to the neighbouring teeth
  3. Implant – this is a fixed option where usually a titanium screw is placed in the bone and then a false tooth is attached on top. This is the most expensive option
